Sonic Frontiers is the highest grossing 3D Sonic game ever

SEGA has announced that its relatively recent game Sonic Frontiers has become the highest-grossing 3D game about the blue hedgehog. According to statistics, the adventure game has sold 3.5 million copies since its release in November 2022.

To date, no predecessor has been able to achieve the same results, even in decades. The authors initially understood that they were taking risks by transferring Sonic to a semi-open world, since fans might not accept this. But the results were more than impressive.
