505 Games has announced plans to resurrect a mech shooter called Hawken, which was shut down in 2018. The authors plan to turn the game into a PvE shooter that will be available to everyone for free.
The current version of the project is called Hawken Reborn, it will appear in the early access format on Steam on May 17th. Players will have access to a story campaign, the ability to customize their robots and shoot bots.
So far, the studio plans to keep Hawken Reborn in test mode for several years. During this time, developers will actively fix bugs and fill the game with fresh content. So far, the release of Hawken Reborn is planned only on computers.
