Resident Evil Village sold over 8 million copies

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Village has sold 8 million copies since its release. In the last financial year alone, over 2 million copies were sold, which means that the project is still a success.

Recall that more than 2 years have passed since the sale of the 7th part of the franchise. Since then, the game has received a major story addition and has been polished to a shine. To date, Resident Evil Village is Capcom's best-selling game, followed by remakes of classic entries in the series.

In the near future, the studio plans to release another updated version of one of the parts of the franchise (most likely the 5th).
