The Overwatch franchise is getting a new anime series

Blizzard is planning to release a new animated show based on the Overwatch franchise called Genesis. Judging by the description, the project will reveal to us new details from the past series.

The first episode will focus on Dr. Ming Liao, who created the artificial intelligence named Aurora. In the future, it is this AI that decides to rebel against people and will become at the helm of the omnic uprising, which eventually engulfed the entire planet. To suppress the rebellion, an Overwatch squad will be created, for the heroes of which we play.

The series will have 3 episodes in total: the second will be released on July 13th, and the third will be available to watch on the 20th.
