Dandelion may become the main character in the continuation of The Witcher

The Witcher series showrunner Lauren Hissrich gave a new interview in which she commented on one of the fan theories regarding the prequel titled "Origin". In it, the fans of the project suggested that in the future the hero of the franchise could be Buttercup, who would replace Princess Cirilla.

The author of the show noted that the prophecy of Itlina, which refers to a certain descendant of Aile, is not as clear as it seems. Lauren directly answered that Ciri is not a descendant, but the showrunner did not specify who the prophecy was talking about then, for obvious reasons, in order to keep the intrigue. Perhaps the phrase “sing last about the end of the world” is a direct reference to the fact that the plot of the prequel somehow revolves around Buttercup.

Recall that the series "Origin" was released at the end of 2022 and left behind a lot of questions. By the way, fans of the original The Witcher took the prequel very negatively.
