DICE has opened a new office in Sweden, and the organization will soon announce recruitment. Specialists will be working on games from the Battlefield universe, which clearly hints that the developers intend to pay more attention to this area.
The new office, like all other teams working on the franchise, will report to Vince Zampella. He was appointed to the post of director of the title, and it is he who will have to choose the further direction of development of the shooter, which has long been in need of fresh ideas.
It is already known that DICE (multiplayer), Ripple Effect (a third-party project, Portal developers) and Ridgeline Games (narrative, story campaign) are now working on the series. Also, EA Gothenburg (formerly Ghost Games, games in the NFS series) will probably be involved in the work.
Reynolds fought the reporters as best he could.
We will also be shown new gameplay.
There is little information, so the shooter could be based on the StarCraft, Warcraft universe, or a completely new IP.
On the evening of November 14, 2024, Obsidian began accepting pre-orders for its new RPG Avowed on all major platforms, including the Russian Steam.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
