Supergiant Games has announced that Hades II will launch pre-access in Q2 2024. Information about date, cost and system requirements will be provided later.
Supergiant has emphasized that at the launch of Hades II, the game will have at least as much content in preview as the original Hades did when it released on Steam. It is worth noting that the first part appeared in early access on the Epic Game Store in 2018, and reached Steam only a year later. The full version was released in September 2020. Essentially, Hades 2 will offer players more content when it launches in Preview than the original Hades had when it first launched.
In their blog, the Supergiant team stated:
We believe that the ideal time frame we chose would be when the game is mature enough that player feedback isn't limited to what we already know, but development is not so advanced that we can't accommodate player feedback.
Hades 2 will undergo technical testing before the official launch. This test will feature less content and participation will be limited to a small number of gamers. More details will be provided as development is completed.
The pre-access concept for Hades II will be similar to the first part.Following launch, a number of major updates are planned that will add new content and refine the game based on gamer feedback. Each update will expand the story with new characters and scenes. All updates will culminate in the full release of the game and the completion of the story.
Supergiant studio has not yet given an exact release date for version 1.0. However, you can already wishlist Hades II on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
