Cities: Skylines 2 runs at 20 FPS even on an empty location

Cities: Skylines 2 from the studio Colossal Games and publisher Paradox turned out to be a good game. But in terms of optimization, everything is so bad for the city manager that only the laziest didn’t mention it.

Memes are already appearing online that the game is in extremely poor technical condition, regardless of what system it is running on. Even with an RTX 4090 video card, Cities: Skylines 2 runs at an unstable 20 FPS, and even in an empty location, not loaded with buildings and various elements, there are stutters and drawdowns.

In short, work on the game and work. But, overall, the sequel is worth spending resources and time on.
