Ubisoft has released a video dedicated to the action platformer Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, where the developers presented the main aspects of the game.
The main character is the warrior Sargon, whom Queen Tomyris sends to rescue the kidnapped prince, imprisoned between dimensions and time. The plot takes the character to Mount Kaf and a mysterious city.
The Lost Crown is structurally a typical Metroidvania game. The player will have to explore interconnected locations filled with treasures, dangers, secrets and side quests. Some areas of the world will be inaccessible at certain times.
As you progress through the game, the character will acquire new skills, such as creating a double for teleportation and storing the power of the elements in a pocket dimension.
The main character's sword is not just for show - he will face many opponents. In addition, Sargon will have a bow and a rage mode.
On Mount Kaf you can find magical trees that allow you to save progress and change abilities and amulets. Amulets strengthen the hero, opening, for example, cluster arrows or turning defeated enemies into bombs.
To make it easier to explore the world, the game provides fast travel and a “memory shards” function that allows you to take a screenshot?? and attach them to the map. There is also a destination sign for those who get lost.
A demo of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will appear on January 11, and the release is expected on January 18. The game will be available on PC (Ubisoft Store, EGS), PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, with the possibility of text translation into Russian.
