VG247 recognized Alan Wake 2 as the game of the year and dedicated a special video on YouTube to this horror game from Remedy.
Despite multiple nominations at The Game Awards and three awards across multiple categories, Alan Wake 2 failed to take home the top Game of the Year award, which went to Baldur's Gate 3.
In a previous review, IGN also announced its choice of game of the year, giving preference to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, ahead of Baldur's Gate 3, Alan Wake 2 and other nominees.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
