Gaijin Entertainment and Three Whales announce that the new online adventure game Age of Water will launch in the first quarter of 2024 on Steam. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic water world, where all land was flooded after a global catastrophe. The price and exact release date will be announced later on the project’s official website, but now you can add Age of Water to your wish list of games on Steam.
The main character of Age of Water travels on a combat boat between settlements of survivors, fights pirates, retrieves artifacts of a lost civilization from the bottom of the sea, transports valuable goods, completes missions for factions, finds new friends and reveals the secrets of an unusual water world. The player can either follow the story or explore the world independently at his own pace - trade between settlements, board other people's boats, fight with other captains in PvP battles, build his own base.
“We warmly thank the participants in the alpha and beta tests, as a result of which we were able to finalize the game,” says Yuri Miroshnikov, the game’s producer. “It was very important to us to create an atmosphere of exciting sea adventures in which the player feels at the center of the story.”
The game is launching in early access and will be improved based on user feedback, while Age of Water buyers will be able to complete the gameto completion and without any additional costs. Closed beta participants who purchase one of the CBT access kits in the summer of 2023 will receive the similarly priced Age of Water edition on Steam for free.
Age of Water was born out of the Gaijin inCubator program, through which Gaijin Entertainment supports new and promising game development studios.
