Insider Tom Henderson reports that the new Call of Duty in 2025 will not be a direct continuation of Black Ops 2, as previously thought.
According to the source, the game now has a working title of Saturn, and its events will unfold in 2030. The game should feature updated maps from previous parts and new locations. Henderson clarifies that Call of Duty 2025 was previously planned as a sequel to BO2, but then the developers' plans changed dramatically for some reason.
Probably, the insider suggests, the developers were forced to take such a step by the deafening criticism of the lackluster story campaign of Modern Warfare 3.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
