The Pokemon rights owners of The Pokemon Company have announced an audit of Pocketpair, the company that previously created the hype-packed Palworld.
Lawyers plan to determine the presence of copyright infringements about Pokemon. It is assumed that the game studio can be held liable for using the appearance of Pokémon without acquiring the rights to do so. However, even given the similarities, the Palas (the analog Pokémon in Palworld) still look different and have different names, so it's unlikely that the game's creators will be punished for anything.
Palworld is available on PC in early access format.
The action game also received a content update.
