With a total of 1,500 brands on the list, Apple managed to overtake giants like Amazon and Microsoft. The rankings were compiled based on feedback from tech experts, company directors and those in top investment positions. To be on this list, a company's total revenue must reach and exceed $10 billion per year.

The Fortune team expects Apple's total capitalization to reach the $4 trillion mark by the end of 2024.
