Rika Miyatani, who participated in the development of Silent Hill: The Short Message, suggests that Konami studio may release the classic parts of the series on modern consoles.
The developer notes that originally she and the rest of the Hexadrive studio team wanted to create a remake of the second installment of the series, but Konami gave the job to Bloober Team. It's not yet known if either company has been granted a patent to create remakes of other releases.
Let's assume that it will happen if the updated Silent Hill 2 shows good sales.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
The success of the title is quite expected.
