Disney has invested $1.5 billion in Epic Games

Disney has acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic Games. Together they will work to create a "vast and social new universe" in Fortnite, where players will be able to interact with famous characters from Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar and other franchises. In addition to this, players will be able to create their own content within Fortnite.

There is no specific release date for this ambitious project yet, but the companies are calling it a "multi-year plan." Perhaps the system will be built similar to LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival are separate games within Fortnite, launched through the battle royal client.
