Studio Respawn Entertanment had to stop holding another cybersport competition in the discipline of Apex Legends because of hackers.
It is reported that unknown attackers gained access to the servers where the event was held, and began to specifically harm the participants. The hackers gave out cheats to people without their consent, because of which the maps began to create a form of lawlessness. As a result, the company stopped the tournament to clarify the circumstances and eliminate the network vulnerability.
The developers will report on the situation as soon as it is ready.
The developers of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang are preparing a large-scale update called “Breaking the Waves”, which will be available on March 19. Players can expect a new hero, new events, rewards, as well as changes to the seasonal system.
