Riot Games product director Mark Merrill announced that the company has restarted the development of its new MMO, based on the League of Legends universe.
According to the developer, the original concept of this game was not particularly different from the existing titles on the market. He believes that players would not want to see another sandbox with a touch of Runterra, and therefore the studio wants to please its fans with something unique and unexpected. By the way, the game is being created under the direction of Fabrice Kondominas, who previously worked at EA and BioWare - participated in the development of Star Wars: Squadrons, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Mass Effect 3.
Merrill noted that specific news about MMO on League of Legends in the next year or two should not wait.
