The development of Dying Light 2 will not turn out to be smooth. The creators of the post-apocalyptic action game faced a number of problems. So, screenwriter Chris Avellone was removed from work, the release date was postponed several times.
Speaking of the latter, Techland recently stated that Dying Light 2 will be released on February 4, 2022, with a 0 chance of a delay.
Fans worry about the state of the game, and inadvertently compare its development process to Cyberpunk 2077 . According to Tymon Smektala, lead designer of Dying Light 2, there's nothing to worry about, and certainly not to compare these games. The team is working to ensure that the release of the zombie shooter is as successful as possible.
You can't imagine how difficult it is to create a game. I think CD Projekt really believed they could get the game out on time and under the best conditions, but it's extremely difficult. I can imagine what they have to go through.
We're not CD Projekt, so there's no point in making comparisons. We create our game, our universe, we are focused on this franchise and we are working hard to make Dying Light 2: Stay Human a success after release.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be available on February 4, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
The developers thanked the fans: "Thank you all for your support. Together, we have reached this important milestone. See you in the vastness of Thedas on October 31st!"
On Metacritic, the film received a score of 46 out of 100 and 5.3 out of 10, which also indicates a cool reception.
