The Quantum Leap series will not get a third season

NBC TV channel decided not to renew the series "Quantum Leap", refusing to release the third season.

Information about the cessation of production of the show became publicly available a month and a half after the broadcast of the final episode of the second season. The developers of the project learned about it at the same time as the public.

The second season of the series was quickly renewed amid its high popularity, as mentioned in the Deadline article. However, it is assumed that interest in the series had waned by the time the second season ended.

"Quantum Leap" is a remake of a 90s TV series with a similar title, in which the protagonist is time-traveled, ending up in someone else's body, and seeks to find a way home.
