For now, the game is only available on PC.
Developers from The Astronauts studio have unveiled a long-awaited major update for their roguelite shooter, Witchfire. Planned for release on April 4, the patch was postponed for five days.
The name of the update is Ghost Galleon. The main innovations of the patch include:
- Three new curses on the map
- New gameplay element: Vault Raiding
- Six new character classes added
- Addition of five weapon types to the arsenal
- Introduction of four new spells and upgrades to four existing spells
- Added a new vendor to the in-game store
- Seven new magical artifacts (including fetishes, rings, and relics)
- Ten updated or new enemies
- Five fresh game events
- Six new traps for players
- Updated curse design
- Introduction of gnostic knowledge and progression system
- Gameplay improvements and bug fixes
Witchfire has been in Early Access on the Epic Games Store since September 2023 and will remain in that status for 12 to 18 months, after which it is scheduled for release on game consoles.
