Fallout 4 has received an update for next-gen consoles

An update for Fallout 4 has been released, bringing full support for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.

In this patch, the developers made improvements, added new content, and implemented several free DLC from Creation Club, including an Anclave quest, a set of power armor, various weapon sets, and Halloween-inspired decor. However, the updated version of Fallout 4 was not available to owners of the game through PS Plus. New graphical modes have been introduced for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series:

  • Performance Mode: 60 frames per second, 4K resolution, standard graphics settings, dynamic rendering resolution.
  • Quality Mode: 30 frames per second, 4K resolution, maximum graphics settings, real-world rendering resolution.

In addition, Fallout 4 is now certified to run on Steam Deck, which means adapting the interface to the smaller screen of the device and stable operation on its hardware platform.
