Sales of medieval strategy game Manor Lords have passed one million copies, according to the game's publisher, Hooded Horse. Manor Lords went into early access without a pre-order system, and one million copies were sold starting April 26.
Manor Lords peaked at 170,000 players on Steam in the first weekend after launch. According to the publisher, such peak online allows Manor Lords to outperform other projects in the category of city-building simulators and related genres.
The development of Manor Lords was more than four years, the main part of the game was developed by Polish programmer Greg Stikzen. In the final phase of development Greg also collaborated with musicians, artists and modelers.
The game is currently available in an early access version. Greg expects the full release of Manor Lords to happen in about a year, with the first update for the game to be released soon.
The action game also received a content update.
