The next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 update will add new maps to the game

Activision and Sledgehammer Games have unveiled a trailer of new multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which will be available as part of the Season 3 midseason update scheduled for May 1.

The video shows off two maps, Grime (6 by 6) and Checkpoint (6 by 6), the latter of which is part of a map from Warzone.

Add-ons included in the midseason patch:

• New game modes for MW3: Minefield and Escort.
• An arcade playlist with modifiers including infinite ammo, grenades, and ultra-powerful weapons.
• Field upgrade in the form of Enhanced Vision Goggles to help highlight enemies.
• Tactical gear: EMD Mine.
• Utility Box for Warzone, combining ammo and armor plates.
• Changing the time of day on the Renaissance Island map.
• New weapon: the BAL-27 assault rifle from Advanced Warfare.

The mid-season update will be launched on May 1 at 19:00 Moscow time. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available on PC and consoles of current and previous generations.
