Apex Legends gameplay trailer for the next season has been released

EA, along with Respawn Entertainment, have unveiled a gameplay trailer for the new season of Apex Legends, titled Upheaval. The video showcases the abilities of the new Alter Legend and introduces the single-player mode.

The Upheaval season is scheduled to launch on May 7.

The Singles mode will replace the current Doubles mode. In it, players will find already assembled weapons with modifiers and components, and will be able to utilize auto-heal and second chance features. Single mode will be available from May 7 through June 24.

The description of the Alter legendary that utilizes Void technology:

• The passive skill Gift of the Rift allows the Alter to see the contents of nearby death containers and interact with them from a distance to retrieve items.
  
• Tactical skill Void Passage — Alter creates a Void blast wave that forms a temporary interdimensional gateway on either side of the impact surface.
• The Nexus Portal special skill allows allies to activate a phase tunnel to return to the area. Upon opening the tunnel, the player moves through the Void to the Nexus Portal, leaving behind a portal for other players to pass through.

Also announced is the new map Shattered Moon and a feature to change the appearance of Apex artifacts using exotic shards.

Apex Legends is available on PC, consoles of both generations, and Nintendo Switch.
