It is likely that Space Marine 2 will feature PvP multiplayer

Youtuber prdalien0 managed to get the artbook for the game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and published a video where he flips through its pages.

The artbook revealed the following:

• Space Marine II will feature competitive multiplayer, where space marines will battle against other space marines. Rumors about PvP mode have been rumored earlier, and now got another confirmation, despite the lack of an official announcement.
  
• Multiplayer participants will be divided by class.
• In PvP, there will be an option to customize your banner and clan.
• In the story campaign, there will probably be a base where you can return between missions to improve your character and select new quests.

Note that in the first part of Space Marine, in addition to the single-player campaign, PvP and PvE modes (in a “horde” format) were available. In the second part, the cooperative mode in the story is confirmed, but there is no information about a separate PvE-mode in the artbook. However, this does not exclude the possibility of its appearance in the sequel - perhaps PvE was simply not mentioned in the book.

Space Marine 2 release date is scheduled for September 9, 2024.
