Andrew Wilson, the head of EA, discussed the progress of Battlefield 2025 development during a meeting with investors after the presentation of the quarterly report. He said that the shooter is already in a playable stage and the largest team in the history of the series is working on it.
The EA CEO noted that he recently had the opportunity to experience the current version of the game with the developers and was impressed with what he saw. He expressed confidence that the team is creating a great game service...
DICE, Criterion Games, Ripple Effect, EA Motive and EA Gothenburg are working on the new installment of Battlefield. The teams are working to create a unified Battlefield universe that includes both single-player campaign and multiplayer. Battle Royale is also reportedly in development.
According to media reports, the new Battlefield is scheduled for release in October 2025. After an experimental approach in 2042, the game is expected to return to its roots with 64 players, a class system and improved destructibility.

The samurai action game couldn't beat out only Helldivers 2 and God of War.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
