A major update to the alpha version of the Star Citizen game was recently released. Alpha 3.23 brings a host of new features to the game, including wild animals that gamers can encounter while exploring, vast industrial areas, an updated character editor, performance options, artificial intelligence enhancements, and more.
Users will now encounter real wild animals on inhabited planets thanks to the addition of creatures such as Copion hounds and Marok birds. While Marok birds prefer to avoid contact, a pack of dangerous four-legged Copion hounds can pose a threat.
The EVA (EVA) controls have also been improved, including more precise controls, animations, and gameplay detail. Players can now control their position in space by using their hands to push off, providing better control in a zero-gravity environment.
The character editor now provides more options for appearance customization, including new head models, beard styles, eyebrows, hairstyles, makeup, and other options.
Cloud Imperium Games has updated the Star Citizen engine (StarEngine) with new cloud and water modeling technologies that now interact with ships and other objects. The update also includes advanced image enhancement technologies from Nvidia and AMD - DLSS and FSR - to help increase frame rates.
