“Dragon House” showrunner Ryan Condal and his team of writers have already started work on the third season of the series. This is told in a review piece Entertainment Weekly, dedicated to the second season.
According to the showrunner, preparing the script before the official renewal is necessary to avoid delays in the release of seasons. If the script were to start writing only after the renewal, it would take too long to create new seasons and they could not be released every two years.
Kondal also mentioned that the third season will already see the denouement of the series. The writers hope that “House of the Dragon” will last for at least four or five seasons.
It is expected that the series will be officially renewed for a third season only after the performance of the second season is known.
The second season of “House of the Dragon” is scheduled to premiere on June 16, 2024.
