IGN editorial staff got acquainted with the alpha version of the role-playing action game Greedfall 2: The Dying World and published gameplay footage, sharing their first impressions, which turned out to be quite positive.
If in the first part of Greedfall players explored a remote island in the role of colonizers, then in the sequel the situation changes. Now the main character is an aborigine from the same island, who goes to explore the big world.
Greedfall 2 will get a new combat system, reminiscent of Dragon Age: Origins. Players will be able to pause combat at any time, hand out instructions to characters, and then watch the results of their decisions.
IGN noted that the new combat system has benefited the project. Now Greedfall 2 is pleasantly reminiscent of old-school RPGs, and more measured battles allow you to better familiarize yourself with the skills of the characters. The skills of the characters will be quite varied. For example, one of the Greedfall 2 characters can open locks perfectly, and the other one can turn opponents into mincemeat with the help of a war hammer.
Greedfall 2 will be released in the summer of 2024, first in Early Access.
