Sony has rolled out another system update for its new-generation PlayStation 5 console under the number 21.02-04.50.00.
It is noteworthy that this update followed almost immediately after the update from Nintendo for its Switch portable console. As is the case with most previous updates for Sony consoles, there are not many release notes and they mainly affect performance improvements. However, as in previous cases, there is probably something interesting in the new patch, invisible at first glance.
We remind you that the release of the PS5 took place in November last year, and during this time Sony managed to sell more than 13.4 million devices.
That year, at the time of the console's release, Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO Jim Ryan had this to say:
Today marks a historic moment for the PlayStation brand, and all of us at SIE, along with our fan community, game developers, and industry partners, are excited to celebrate the launch of the PlayStation 5.
So far, the patch notes only list performance improvements, but we're sure Sony will update the page soon with more details.
