A number of American citizens have filed a lawsuit against Activision, the publisher of the Call of Duty series of games. The reason is that, as the plaintiffs believe, these projects are indirectly related to the tragedy that happened in an American school.
In 2022, one of the teenagers opened fire in an educational institution. As a result of the shooting, several dozen students were killed. The shooter turned out to be 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, who, as the investigation later found out, played Call of Duty. And, allegedly, after downloading and installing the project Salvador began to behave more aggressively, and also acquired real weapons.
Well, now Activision will have to defend itself and prove that Call of Duty is not guilty of anything.
