Officially, the creators of the game did not announce this decision. Users assumed that this way the studio Raven Software is preparing for the launch of the next part of Black Ops and adding a new location to Call of Duty: Warzone.
Recall that at the release of Battleroyal in the matches involved up to 150 people, but then the developers reduced the number of players to 100.
