Knights of the Old Republic may be made into a movie adaptation

Star Wars: Acolyte showrunner Leslie Hadland has expressed interest in a film adaptation of the cult game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In an interview with Omelete, she revealed that she is particularly drawn to the story of Kreia, one of the key characters in KOTOR 2.

I've always wanted to see a Knights of the Old Republic adaptation and get to know the image of Kreia better. I think it would be a really interesting story to bring to life, shared Hadland.

Kreia is one of the most popular and controversial characters in the KOTOR series. She is the protagonist's blind mentor who rejects the traditional division between the light and dark sides of the Force. How exactly the showrunner plans to adapt her story, she did not elaborate.

The series Star Wars: Acolyte was released on June 4, 2024 and received mixed reviews. Professional critics praised the first episodes, assigning a rating of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and 69 points out of 100 on Metacritic. However, viewers criticized the project for weak dialogues and boring plot.
