According to information presented at the Xbox Game Showcase, Fallout 76 will feature the ability to play as a Ghoul in 2025. Bethesda shared plans to expand the game's main world map to Shenandoah National Park in the Skyline Valley update, which will be released in July 2024.
Most intriguing, however, was the announcement of a new playable race — the ghuls. Guli are people who have been heavily mutated under the influence of radiation, reminiscent of zombies from horror movies. Despite their fearsome appearance and the negative attitude of the other inhabitants of the wasteland, the ghouls have the ability to live almost indefinitely and do not take damage from radiation.
Starting at level 50, Fallout 76 players will be able to become a gul. Becoming a ghoul means that the character will no longer take radiation damage and will gain unique abilities, but will lose access to the Brotherhood of Steel storyline and their merchants.
