Without further ado, Phil Spencer and his team literally overwhelmed players with trailers!
Black Ops 6
The presentation started with a trailer for the new Call of Duty. Explosions, shooting, intrigues, and betrayals — all the elements that fans love about this series. Visually, everything looks top-notch, although without significant innovations. The game will be released on October 17, 2024, on all current platforms and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.
Doom: The Dark Ages
The rumors were true — the new Doom was presented with a bang. Rock music, blood, new types of weapons, dragons, and battles in mechs. It’s impressive, but it seems like we’ve already seen this in Doom Eternal, and there was no wow effect. The game will be released in 2025.
State of Decay 3
So far, no gameplay, plot, or new features. The trailer only confirmed that the project is not abandoned and is in development. If the game is as illogical as the trailer, it might become one of Xbox’s biggest flops in recent years.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Bioware has long experimented with the game’s style. The characters, environment, and atmosphere are so bright and inclusive that it might deter some players. The game will be released in fall 2024, but no gameplay has been shown yet.
Starfield: Shattered Space
The most anticipated expansion of this fall! New content, a storyline about the House of Va’ruun and the Cult of the Great Serpent, new planets — all in Starfield: Shattered Space. Bethesda will also release a Creation Kit for creating mods and a cosmetic addition for free.
Fallout 76: Skyline Valley
A new expansion for one of Microsoft’s most popular online games. On the wave of the series’ success, players will be able to play as the ghoul race in early 2025. The expansion itself is released on June 12.
Clair Obscure: Expedition 33
This game surprised the most. An unusual world design, beautiful and mysterious characters, a new vision of turn-based battles. Unfortunately, no release date has been announced yet.
South of Midnight
Animations like in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” dynamic gameplay reminiscent of Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and a design clearly inspired by Sweet Baby Inc. We’ll only find out what the game is about in 2025.
World of Warcraft: The War Within
The trailer showed that elves were prettier, Lich Kings stronger, and dwarves beardier. Release date — August 26, 2024.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Delta
Another excellent announcement, this time from Konami. They showcased a trailer for the remake of Hideo Kojima’s legendary game, which almost frame-by-frame reproduces the original but with improved graphics and updated gameplay. The release date has not been announced yet.
Sea of Thieves: 13th Season
New season and content for “Sea of Thieves.” Now players can side with the villains, probably with the introduction of a new faction.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
We hope the brilliance of Flintlock trailers is not just for show. The diverse gameplay, featuring combat with both melee and firearms, is inspiring. The release from the developers of Ashen is scheduled for July 18.
Age of Mythology Retold
The updated version of Age of Mythology will be released in September! The classic gameplay remains untouched, but the graphics have been significantly enhanced. The release is scheduled for September 4.
Perfect Dark
An unexpected announcement at the presentation. Despite rumors of problems at The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics, Microsoft presented improved gameplay: parkour, dynamic battles with multiple enemies, and all in first-person view.
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred
The cinematic trailer for the Diablo IV expansion spoils the ending of the main story, so watch with caution.
Fable
Upon re-watching the trailer, it became clear that everything shown is actual gameplay. Modern video games have reached such a level of graphics that it’s hard to distinguish them from cinematic trailers. The game will be released in 2025.
Mixtape
Annapurna Interactive again delights us with a story about teenagers, travels, and self-discovery, this time with ragged animations. The release is scheduled for 2025.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Flights around the world, work in the sky, nature photography, and enjoying the views of the Earth from above — all this is Microsoft Flight Simulator!
Elder Scrolls Online
In honor of the game’s tenth anniversary, Elder Scrolls Online will be available for free with all expansions for a limited time. The new expansion, Gold Road, is released on June 18.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure
Max Caulfield is back! The sequel to the first Life is Strange will delight fans of the original, but be cautious if you didn’t like True Colors, as it’s created by the same team.
Indiana Jones: The Great Circle
Machine Games showcased the cinematics and dialogues of the new Indiana Jones game, where Troy Baker perfectly embodied the role. The exact release date is not yet known, only 2024.
Avowed
Even Avowed didn’t spoil the impression of the presentation. An improved combat system and more dynamic magic are impressive. Release in 2024.
Atomfall
A new franchise from the creators of Sniper Elite. A first-person survival game in a world with robots, post-apocalypse, and factions. The release is scheduled for 2025.
Assassin's Creed Shadows
An unexpected trailer from Ubisoft. The main characters differ, stealth returns, and new interactions with the environment. At Ubisoft Forward tomorrow, they will show a large slice of gameplay. Release — November 15, 2024.
STALKER 2
The continuation of the STALKER series looks like a familiar project: shooting, anomalies, psi-radiation, catacombs, old and new monsters. We hope GSC Game World releases the game on September 5, as another delay might disappoint fans.
Gears of War: E-Day
The main trailer of the exhibition. Cinematic, dynamic, and emotional. The word “War” has returned to the Gears series. Marcus Fenix, Dominic Santiago, and the company return to the beginning of the story — the day of the Locust emergence.
