According to insider information, the upcoming film adaptation of the video game "Borderlands" from Lionsgate studio leaves much to be desired. Film insider Daniel Richtman shared information on his Patreon that the film turned out to be quite boring and unfunny.
According to Richtman, viewers who were given a preliminary screening of the film told him that the film's narrative was extremely chaotic and the humor did not cause laughter. In addition, the length of the film will be only 1 hour 40 minutes, which is hardly enough to fully develop the characters.
It is interesting that, apparently, the filmmakers themselves do not have high hopes for it. There are no hints in the film about a possible continuation or development of events. The only scene after the credits is more of a comic character, rather than serving as a set-up for future films.
Thus, judging by insider information, the film adaptation of “Borderlands” does not meet the expectations of fans of the game and may disappoint viewers with its quality. The world premiere of the film will take place on August 9.
