Former technical director of Rockstar Games Obbe Vermeij is confident that GTA 6 will not make any technological breakthrough that fans of the series expect from it.
The developers assume that the next part of the franchise will be no worse, but not better than the previous one. In other words, we will simply get an improved version of GTA 5, which will have something new, but without any frills. Vermeil believes the reason for this is slower technological progress, which has so far prevented the industry from moving forward.
