Lucasfilm Studios together with Disney have cancelled the development of a new Star Wars film.
The main character of the project was supposed to be the mercenary Lando Calrissian, played by John Glover. It is known that the title was developed over the past 4 years, and it even had a ready script. We were not told the reasons for the cancellation of the development, but director Justin Simien said that the film was simply not destined to make it to the premiere.
It should be noted that the studio initially planned to shoot a series about Lando, but a little later it was transformed into a full-length film.
