Bloomberg editor Jason Schreier suggested that the Marathon shooter will not be released in 2025.
It is being developed by Bungie, but it is currently experiencing a lot of problems. Several hundred people recently left the company, and the production budget was cut. Thus, if Marathon is not canceled, its release will happen much later than expected.
Among other things, there were earlier rumors that a conditional Destiny 3 was also canceled, although no one has officially announced it yet.

There is little information, so the shooter could be based on the StarCraft, Warcraft universe, or a completely new IP.
On the evening of November 14, 2024, Obsidian began accepting pre-orders for its new RPG Avowed on all major platforms, including the Russian Steam.
The project is codenamed Half-Life X.
