Elex 2 New Details: Combat Improvements, Open World, Election Consequences and Additions

If we compare RPG ELEX with The Witcher and Dark Souls series, we can conclude that the combat system in the game was far from perfect. For this reason, according to the developers at Piranha Bytes, in Elex 2 , the team put all their efforts into improving it.

We wanted to do better, and responded to player feedback. Therefore, we put a lot of effort into creating a new combat, which should become more dynamic, react directly to the actions of the players. Now it is much more responsive than in the original. We went through several iterations, did a lot of tests to bring it to a new level.

The open world will allow you to go anywhere, but to visit some locations you will still need advanced equipment, a higher level, and character skills.

The player does not have to join any faction. And every decision will have its own consequences. Gamers will be able to feel the consequences of changing the fate of different characters, factions and the entire gaming world as a whole. This system was given more time than the first part.

Choices and Consequences work similarly to the original ELEX, but we've improved and expanded the system. It's more complex and denser, with more consequences and more impacts, and more surprises in different storylines. The storylines are even longer than before and will have many unexpected moments. And in the game world there were children. This will bring new immersion and more realistic situations and even some special quests.

Piranha Bytes reported that she has a negative attitude towards the creation of add-ons.

Actually, we don't like DLC. We think that if people buy our game, they should get everything that we planned to put into it. Therefore, after the launch of new paid content for ELEX 2, there are no plans. Of course, we will closely monitor how the game is perceived by the audience, and we will support it. We would prefer to quickly switch to a new project.

Action RPG ELEX 2 will be available on March 1, 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
