Martin Klima, Executive Producer at Warhorse, gave a short technical interview to WCCFTech, in which he shared details about Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. He discussed the choice of game engine and supported technologies; here is what was revealed.
The development team considered switching to another engine, but ultimately decided to stay with CryEngine due to the significant amount of work done to adapt it to their needs. This decision turned out to be the right one: now they are happy with the engine and the achieved performance.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is being created on the latest version of CryEngine with additional improvements from the first part of the game. A similar version of the engine is used in Hunt Showdown.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is scheduled for release on February 11, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
The action game also received a content update.
