According to the plot, the characters Josh Washington and Sam Giddings appear after the credits. Josh, who was originally turned into a wendigo, was saved, and his subsequent hallucinations hint at a path to redemption. Sam, several years after the events of the game, struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder, but her story ends on an intriguing cliffhanger, which may indicate a continuation of the series.

This scene has sparked active discussions among fans, especially on Reddit, where it is interpreted as a hint at a possible sequel, which, however, has not been officially confirmed by the developers. Meanwhile, work is also underway on a film adaptation of the game, which will be directed by David F. Sandberg, known for the films "Shazam!" and "Lights Out".
