Renowned writer George Martin is not against writing the story of Braavos from Game of Thrones.
This character is quite colorful, and HBO even wanted to release a series about him. However, for some reason the project was then cancelled. Martin did not name the reasons, but he believes that Braavos definitely deserves to be better known to fans of the writer's work.
However, Martin first plans to complete the Winds of Winter series of novels. Note that the author initially planned to complete work on it about a decade ago.
