Dragon Age: The Veilguard flops, BioWare faces layoffs

Former Gears of War franchise director Laura Fryer is confident that Dragon Age: The Veilguard has failed in sales.

The developer did not provide exact sales figures for the game, but in her opinion, the title has sold barely a million copies since its release. At the same time, EA and BioWare spent a huge amount of money on the game's production and advertising, and therefore the new product is still far from being able to recoup its costs, not to mention income.

Thus, EA expressed dissatisfaction with the results obtained. According to Fryer, all this could lead to layoffs in the BioWare camp, which did not justify the publisher's trust.
