Humanoid Origin, a studio founded by Mass Effect franchise creator Casey Hudson, has closed without releasing a single game.
Three years have passed since the company opened, during which time the organization planned to release a certain AAA project. The game was created in a science fiction setting, but it never reached release. The reasons for the closure of Humanoid Origin were, as reported by the developers, staff cuts, which were caused by an unexpected reduction in funding and a general crisis in the gaming industry.
What Hudson himself will do after the closure of Humanoid Origin is not yet known.
