According to the head of the Game Science studio, Yokar-Feng Ji, the team failed to optimize the title for the younger Series S console, which had too little RAM. 10 GB was not enough for Black Myth: Wukong to work stably, and so the studio had to postpone the release of this version until better times.
A rumor has spread online that Sony compensated Game Science for possible losses from refusing to release the game on Xbox. The exact release date for this version has not yet been announced.
