Iconic fighters like the Fokker Dr.I flown by the Red Baron himself, or the SPAD S.XIII, the favorite of René Fonck, the highest scoring Allied ace, will receive authentic cockpits, historically accurate weapons, and a realistic flight model.
Aces of Thunder invites players to experience the first-ever epic dogfights between the Allied and Central Powers. You will pilot aircraft made of wood and canvas, with open cockpits and mechanical instruments, with springs and taut control cables running through the fuselage, a stark contrast to the more streamlined and enclosed designs of WWII aircraft.
Unlike their WWII counterparts, the WWI aircraft in Aces of Thunder feature fuselage-mounted machine guns, making VR combat even more immersive. The simplicity and charm of these early war machines immerses players in an era when aviation was still in its infancy but was already changing the battlefield.
