New film Mickey 17 with Robert Pattinson flopped at the box office

The new film Mickey 17 with Robert Pattinson had a weak start at the domestic box office.

According to the Variety portal team, the sci-fi film managed to collect only 18 million dollars during its debut weekend. It is noted that the budget for the film's development reaches 118 million, so it is unlikely that it will be able to make a profit, let alone even recoup this money.

Mickey 17 is a film adaptation of the novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton. Mickey, the main character of the film, signed up to participate in the terraforming of the planet as a consumable. While exploring the planet, Mickey is constantly exposed to mortal danger, dies — and comes back to life again, retaining most of his memory.
