Epic Games Store Removes Platform Fee for New Developers

The Epic Games Store administration announced changes to the financial policy on its platform.

From now on, developer companies that want to release their games in the store will not pay any commission until a certain point. Having earned the first million dollars, developers will begin to deduct 12% of their revenue to intermediaries. At the same time, the commission will only apply to the amount of income received in excess of the first million.

Moreover, in mid-summer of this year, companies will have the opportunity to launch their own stores based on the Epic Games Store. With the help of these stores, developers will be able to offer players purchases outside the Apple and Google infrastructure.
